CANTWELL NAMED TO SEC WOMEN'S GOLF GOOD WORKS TEAM

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - University of Tennessee junior golfer Holly Cantwell has been named to the Southeastern Conference Good Works Team, the league office announced on Friday. The team highlights a student-athlete from each school who gives back to her community through superior service efforts.
Cantwell, from Morristown, Tenn., has participated in the annual National Student-Athlete Day community service event, known as "April Play Day." The event brings 400 Boys and Girls Club members to campus for a day of fun and games.
During the past two holiday seasons, Cantwell and members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee planned a dinner for homeless and less fortunate members. She has also participated in the Lady Vol golf pen pal program to assist students at Sarah Moore Green Elementary with the learning of life skills.
Cantwell has volunteered time and provided a donation for the Vermillion Hurricane Relief Fund, in addition to speaking to a local community group, Farragut Pride, about motivation of self and others.
Academically, Cantwell is a member of the Thornton Center Academic Honor Roll. Cantwell and the rest of the Lady Vol golf team is in action this weekend at the 2006 SEC Championships. UT is in search of ifs first-ever league title.
