Alesi Continues to Shine at Nationals

Sophomore Octavio Alesi continued his torrid pace Saturday with a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter butterfly to lead Tennessee Aquatics at the 2005 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Irvine, Calif.
Alesi finished seventh in 53.68 in the 100 fly. Junior Andrew Engle finished 22nd in 55.75.
Tennessee's club team finished fourth in the 400 free relay in 3:32.60. Senior Bryan Goldberg led with junior Brad Boswell, Alesi and senior Tyler Gustafson following.
Boswell also finished 22nd in the 100 backstroke in 57.93.
Incoming junior Michael Russo finished 10th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.19 with former Vol Andrew Bree following in 14th in 1:04.69.
