INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Lady Vol head rowing coach Lisa Glenn's Varsity 8+ earned a ranking of 11th in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Varsity Eight Poll released on Thursday.
Tennessee's Varsity 8+ defeated then-No. 17 Washington State in a time of 7:19.90, more than eight seconds ahead of the Cougars (7:28.10) on Saturday at Fort Lake Loudon. The shell, comprised of Molly Oellerich (cox.), Kaitlin Bargreen, Lauren Wells, Rachel Mayberry, McKenzie Craig, Dana Forbes, Chelsea Pemberton, Andrea Bagwell and Beth Schwartz, finished the spring slate 5-0 in head-to-head competition.
For the fifth week in a row, Princeton University (12 first-place votes) claimed the top spot, followed by California (9) and the University of Michigan (1).
