The No. 10 Tennessee men's swimming and diving team heads to Athens, Ga., Friday for the Bulldog Invitational that runs through Sunday.
The meet is a measuring stick for the Vols as the competition includes two top-25 teams in Virginia and Georgia along with traditional powers South Carolina and Harvard.
"This meet will definately be a good measure of where we are as a team," UT head coach John Trembley said. "We will be facing some tough teams and traditional rivals.
"The invitational format will stretch our guys as they will swim multiple events multiple days, and that will help us immensely as we get to the SEC and NCAA championships later in the year," Trembley added.
This also will be a preview of upcoming dual meets for the Vols. Tennessee travels to Charlottesville, Va., Jan. 14 to face Virginia and Harvard, and a week later travels to Athens, Ga., to face Georgia.
