31 LADY VOL FRESHMEN NAMED TO SEC ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

A total of 427 freshmen student-athletes were named to the 2004 SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll, Thursday by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive.
The University of Tennessee Men's and Women's Athletic Departments had 42 freshmen student-athletes honored. The University of South Carolina topped the list with 56 freshmen student-athletes on the academic roster.
The 2004 SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2003-04 academic calendar. The Lady Vols have 31 representatives on the list from all 11 UT women's teams. The "water sports" of swimming and diving and rowing combined for 16 scholars on the Lady Vol list.
