The third group of inductees into the Lady Volunteer Hall of Fame were enshrined at an evening gala on Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at the downtown Marriott hotel in Knoxville. The six honorees encompass a former administrator and five outstanding student-athletes from four Lady Vol sports, including administrator Howard Aldmon (former UT Vice-Chancellor) and athletes Cindy Brogdon (Basketball, 1977-79), April Chapple (Volleyball, 1981-84), Elizabeth "Liz" Brown Jarvis (Swimming, 1981-84), Cathy Rattray (Track & Field, 1981-84) and Patricia Roberts (Basketball, 1976-77).
In addition to enshrinement ceremonies on Friday night, a full day of activities followed on Saturday, Sept. 27, including an autograph signing party at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and on-field recognitions at Neyland Stadium, where the inductees were saluted during the nationally-televised Tennessee versus South Carolina football game.
