TENNESSEE HEAD COACH BUZZ PETERSON:
"I am so proud of our guys. They never quit and fought until the end. I am pleased with our team's effort. We struggled with our zone offense tonight. It happens sometimes when you have young guards.
"You have to give Georgia credit. They hit big shots when they needed to. Georgia has big wings that cause some mismatch problems. Ezra Williams had a hot hand tonight and he caused us to burn some timeouts in the second half."
GEORGIA HEAD COACH JIM HARRICK:
"It's amazing in this league when teams come in here and come after you. They certainly came after us and, for a a lot of minutes, outplayed us.
"I thought the zone (defense) turned the game around in our favor. It seemed to neutralize Slay and it also got our guys energized a bit. Sometimes you don't realize how hard it is to have to play like that to win a basketball game, and we certainly had to play hard today. They were really good."
