Vols Currently Tied for Fourth at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- The sixth-ranked University of Tennessee men's golf team is currently tied for fourth at the Seminole Intercollegiate, which is being played at Golden Eagle Country Club (par 72, 6,965 yards). The Vols shot a two-round score of 298-291--589 to tie them with UAB, who had scores of 295-294--589.
Leading the way for the Vols is freshman David Skinns, who fired a 71-71--142 (2-under par) and is currently tied for fourth. Junior Andrew Pratt is two places behind Skinns in sixth with scores of 74-69--143. Senior Andrew Black is tied for 12th with scores of 74-71--145, while junior Ian Parnaby (159) is tied for 68th and senior Jimmy White (163) is in 77th.
After day one, Duke leads the tournament. The Blue Devils fired scores of 293-287--580. North Carolina is in second with scores of 286-297--583, while the College of Charleston is in third with a 586. Tennessee and UAB round out the top teams, as both are tied for fourth with 589.
Graeme McDowell of UAB leads the individual portion of the tournament. McDowell fired a 68-69--137 (7-under par) to lead Lief Olsen (138) of Duke by one stroke. Bob Cherry of North Carolina rounds out the top individuals with a 68-73-141.
Tennessee will be in action again on Tuesday with the final round of the tournament.
