* Tennessee falls to 13-14 (6-8 SEC) on the season ... Vanderbilt improves to 15-12 (5-9 SEC) ... UT is 9-4 (4-3 SEC) at home this season ... Today's loss snaps the Vols' three-game home winning streak.
* Tennessee leads the series against Vanderbilt 99-62 ... The Vols have a 60-15 mark in games played in Knoxville ... UT has won 6 of the last 9 meetings in the series and 10 of the last 16 ... The Vols won the first meeting this season 67-65 at Nashville Feb. 2 ... VU's last win at Thompson-Boling Arena was a 76-73 decision in the 1999-2000 campaign.
* Vanderbilt led 38-27 at halftime ...The Vols hit just 8-of-28 (.286) percent from the field, including 2-of-12 from three-point range ... UT opened the second half on a 13-4 run to tie the game at 41-41 with 16:10 remaining ... The Vols got within two in the final minute (64-62), but could get no closer ... VU connected on 3-of-4 from the free throw line in the final 47 seconds to seal the victory.
* For the second consecutive game, Tennessee committed 18 turnovers.
* Vincent Yarbrough, who entered the game as the SEC's leading scorer at 18.5 ppg, scored 10 points after coming off a season-high 27 Tuesday at Kentucky ... With two steals today, Yarbrough moved to No. 13 on the SEC's all-time steal list, tying him with Florida's Eddie Shannon with 204.
* Marcus Haislip's 17 points led the Vols this afternoon ... Haislip connected on 5-of-9 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free throw line.
* Jenis Grindstaff scored 13 points today on 4-of-10 shooting (3-of-5 treys) from the field and dished out 5 assists ... During a 10-0 run by the Vols that tied the game at 41-41 with 16:10 remaining, Grindstaff had a hand in all 10 points, scoring five and dishing out two assists that accounted for five more points (a dunk by Wilborn and a three-pointer by Higgins).
* Tennessee travels to Florida Tuesday to meet the No. 8-ranked Gators ... Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. (EST) ... UT's next home game is next Saturday against Georgia in the home finale ...Tipoff for the Vols-Georgia game has been moved to 4 p.m. (EST).
