Tennessee Divers Compete At NCAA Zone B Diving Championships

Three Tennessee divers will travel to Athens, Ga., this weekend for the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships. Senior All-Americas Gabi Chereches and Shannon Roy and sophomore Jake Dorsey will compete with other top regional divers to qualify for the NCAA Championships held Mar. 22-24 in College Sta., Texas.

The meet will begin on Friday, Mar. 9 with the one-meter springboard competition at 10:45 a.m. The three-meter springboard event will be contested on Saturday, Mar. 10 at 1 p.m., followed by the platform diving competition at 6 p.m.

Chereches and Roy each won Southeastern Conference championhips last month with Chereches winning the platform diving title and Roy capturing the three-meter springboard title. Dorsey will be competing at the qualifying meet for the first time.
