KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee's Thaydeus Holden scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Vols to a 97-66 win over Appalachian State.
Holden, who connected on 6-of-9 from field and 2-of-3 from three-point range, led four Vols in double figures as UT won its 37th consecutive non-conference game at Thompson-Boling Arena. Jonathan Butler led the Mountaineers with 11 points.
Vincent Yarbrough (17), Ron Slay (15) and Jenis Grindstaff (13) joined Holden in double figures as the Vols improved to 3-2 on the season. Appalachian State dropped to 2-3.
