Vols to Compete in Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate

The No. 2 ranked Tennessee men's golf team will conclude its fall schedule on Oct. 29-30 at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, La. The tournament will be held at the Country Club of Louisiana (par 72, 7,060 yards).
Tennessee will face a field that includes six teams ranked in the top 35 of the Golfweek rankings, such as No, 15 Auburn, No. 17 South Carolina, No. 30 North Florida, No. 32 Alabama, No. 34 College of Charleston and No. 35 UAB. Other teams in the tournament include, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southeastern Louisiana and Tulsa.
Tennessee competed in this tournament last year, finishing tied for 10th. The Vols shot a 292-289-301. Andrew Pratt led the Vols during the tournament with a 25th-t place finish. Pratt shot a 72-71-78--221.
The Vols are coming off an impressive 1st place finish at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions, where they shot a 287-278-276--841. The win marked the team's second TOC championship.
Coach Kelson is very proud of the way his team has been playing and hopes they can continue it with the last tournament of the fall season.
"I am extremely proud of the way the team handled the TOC," Kelson said. "This team has never quit and has shown a lot of poise. Jimmy White and Andrew Pratt have stepped up and played well. The win at the TOC gives us a lot of confidence going into the final fall tournament.
We will have to play well at LSU in order to finish the fall like we are capable of finishing."
