Coaching Staff JAMIE BLOOM
Assistant Women's Coach at the University of Tennessee. Coach Bloom brings to the program outstanding knowledge in technique as well as a consistently positive attitude and her great enthusiasm for the sport of swimming, She will return for her seventeenth year with United Swimming Clinics.
DAN COLELLA
Head Women's Coach at the University of Tennessee, a perennial powerhouse in university swimming. Dan Colella is clearly one of the, finest coaching minds in the U.S., having coached NCAA Champions, All-Americans, and Olympic Trial finalists. Coach Colella has served as National Team Coach in Colorado Springs and has coached Olympic athletes from the 1996 Games.
SHAWN CROW
Coach Crow is one of the outstanding Australian coaches with international experience. He returns to the United States for his sixth summer of coaching. Coach Crow's knowledge of biomechanics and psychology has him at the top of the international coaching world.
BONNIE DIX
Head coach of Wellesley College. Bonnie served as an assistant and interim head coach of the University of Tennessee women's program. Coach Dix brings to program tremendous bio-mechanical knowledge as well as extensive background in psychology. Bonnie will return for her twentieth year.
JUNE HUNT
Coach Hunt, from Babinda, Australia, is a phenomenal coach versed in physiology, massage therapy, and age-group swimming techniques. Coach June returns for her fifth summer and is one of our favorite coaches with swimmers of all ages.
JAN KING
This tremendous age-group coach from Australia brings tremendous teaching skill and insight to her stay at United Swimming Clinics. Jan King returns for her seventh summer.
ROBB ORR
Head men's swimming coach at Princeton University and a National team coach. One of Robb Orr's greatest coaching accomplishments has been the development of Nelson Diebel, double Olympic gold medallist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Robb is considered to be one of the most outstanding technicians and most innovative coaches in the world today. Robb is a World Clinic speaker and is the former director of United Swimming Clinics in Rochester and will return to U.S.C. for his twenty-second summer as Director at Blair Academy.
JOHN TREMBLEY
Head men's coach at the University of Tennessee and former head women's and men's coach at Mercersburg Academy, the 1988 National Prep School Swimming Champions. J.T. has been a recent speaker at World Clinics and has been the President of United Swimming Clinics since its inception. Coach Trembley is a national team coach. Two of J.T'.s athletes combined for two Olympic gold medals, two silver medals, one World and two American records in the 1996 Olympics.
PETE WILLIAMS
Head men's and women's coach at Mercersburg Academy, a perennial powerhouse of prep school swimming. Pete has coached several Olympic team members and served on the 1988 Olympic staff coaching swimmers who competed in the pentathlon. Pete Williams had an outstanding year in 1992, having placed four swimmers on the Olympic team to compete in the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Coach Williams will serve as Site Co-Director at Mercersburg.
