Swimmers Compete At Bulldog Invitational

Nine Volunteers competed on Saturday in four events. Justin Hoggatt posted a provisional NCAA qualifying time in the 100 butterfly. Hoggatt's career-best time of 55.15 was good for first place in the event. The Volunteers finished second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:30.96. Nick Lakin and Ben Brink finished seventh (1:42.82) and eighth (1:44.99), respectively, in the 200 freestyle. Steve Cromer finished the evening for UT with a third-place time of 4:00.74 in the 400 individual medley The Bulldog Invitational will conclude on Sunday. Next up for the Vol divers are the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in Auburn, Ala. The top finishers at that meet will move on to the NCAA Championships. The NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be held on Mar. 23-25 in Minneapolis, Minn.
