Vols to Compete in Carpet Capital Collegiate Golf Tournament

The University of Tennessee men's golf team will be competing in the 2000 Carpet Capital
Collegiate golf tournament Oct. 6-8. The tournament is being held at The Farm Golf Club in Rocky
Face, Ga.
Fourteen other teams will join Tennessee in the tournament, including the 1999 winner, Georgia Tech. Eleven of the top 25 teams will be competing. The teams participating are: Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia, Wake Forest, Arizona State, East Tennessee State, Houston and UCLA.
Tennessee competed in the Carpet Capital Collegiate last year. The Vols finished 13th after firing 297-307-288--892.
