Lady Vols Swimming & Diving Faces Auburn And Northwestern

KNOXVILLE -- The University of Tennessee Lady Vol swimming and diving team faces its first two opponents of the New Year on Saturday in Evanston, Ill. In a double-dual meet, the 19th-ranked Lady Vols will compete against #6 Auburn and #11 Northwestern. The morning session begins at 11 a.m. CT and the evening events start at 6 p.m. CT.
The divers already got 2000 competition underway, competing at the Texas All-American Invitational last week. However, the swimmers have not hit the water since early December. The team currently holds a 2-1 overall record in dual meet competition and 0-1 mark in the Southeastern Conference.
The meet is the beginning of a string of dual meets that will close out the regular season. On Jan. 29, the team travels to Georgia and on February 5, the Lady Vols host Florida.
