Lady Vol Harriers to Compete at Wolverine Interregional

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lady Vol cross country squad will compete at the Wolverine Interregional, hosted by the University of Michigan, this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich. Tennessee will go head-to-head on the five-kilometer course on the University of Michigan Golf Course with 11 institutions from around the country.
Three of the 12 teams in the women’s event are ranked in the FinishLynx Top-25, including #11 Washington, #19 Nebraska and #25 James Madison. The remainder of the field will consist of Akron, Bradley, Columbia, Kent State, Michigan, Montana State, Ohio, Purdue and Tennessee.
The Orange and White will take a contingent to Michigan including freshmen Amber Ayub and Rebecca Collins, and seniors Amy Bartosik, Meghan Mantlo and Angie Pothier.
Tennessee currently holds a 26-10-1 record, after finishing ninth at the Auburn Invitational (Oct. 1), and is looking to finish well at the Interregional heading into SEC Championships on Oct. 30.
