Dr. Bob and Edy Rubright Team Physician’s Clinic
(Rubright MD Suite) is located in the Anderson Training Center and is named after long-time head team physician Dr Robert “Bob” Rubright and his wife Eddy.
The Rubright MD Suite comprises approximately 3000 square feet and is a critical component of the Adair-Carlson Wellness Center, which also includes the Tim Kerin Athletic Training Room, and the Mary Hodge Hydrotherapy room.
The Rubright MD Suite houses the office of the University of Tennessee’s Head Team Physician, as well as containing two physician exam rooms, a medical records room, and the offices of sports medicine department administrative staff members that assist the team physicians with medical claims coordination, medical referral scheduling and preauthorization/precertification. It also contains the Dr John Karnes Pharmacy, which was one of the first state licensed pharmacies on-site in an athletic department. The Karnes pharmacy allows Tennessee team physicians to provide student-athletes with immediate pharmaceutical care when necessary and is named after long-time team pharmacist Dr John Karnes.
The Rubright MD Suite is where all University of Tennessee Vol and Lady Vol student-athletes are provided evaluation and treatment by the sports medicine team physicians for both primary care and orthopedic injury needs. It contains state-of-the-art equipment such as:

- Fuji digital X-Ray
- Sonosite diagnostic ultrasound
- Cardiostream electrocardiogram (ECG)
