Tim Kerin Athletic Training Room
(TKATR) is located inside the Anderson Training Center and is named after the legendary former Head Athletic Trainer Tim Kerin, who passed away suddenly in 1992.
The TKATR compromises approximately 8000 square feet and is a central component of the Adair-Carlson Wellness Center, which also includes the Dr Bob and Eddy Rubright Team Physician’s Suite, and the Mary Hodge Hydrotherapy room.
The TKATR is the central point of all medical care provided to the University of Tennessee football program, and contains state-of-the-art equipment such as:
- Alter G Pro 500 anti-gravity treadmill
- Biodex System 4 Pro dynamometer
- Cybex Arc trainer
- React eccentric lower extremity trainer
- MRS Functional squat system
- Litecure Laser therapy
- Owen’s Recovery System Blood Flow Restriction
- Hivamats
- GameReady cryotherapy units
- Normatech compression recovery units
- VersaPulley
- Multiple additional evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation modalities
The TKATR also provides Volunteer football student-athletes with daily access to comprehensive healthcare providers who are subject matter experts in athletic training and physical therapy.
