Of those five, only three—Knecht, Reeves and Taylor—were on the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Watch List revealed Wednesday.
Just 15 other players nationally were named to both lists: L.J. Cryer (Houston), R.J. Davis (North Carolina), Hunter Dickinson (Kansas), Zach Edey (Purdue), Kyle Filipowski (Duke), P.J. Hall (Clemson), Davi Jones (Memphis), Tyler Kolek (Marquette), Jaedon LeDee (San Diego State), Caleb Love (Arizona), Kevin McCullar Jr. (Kansas), Tristen Newton (Connecticut), Baylor Scheierman (Creighton), Isaiah Stevens (Colorado State) and Ja'Kobe Walter (Baylor).
A fifth-year guard, Knecht is averaging 15.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game this season, while shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 37.1 percent on 3-pointers and 79.0 percent at the stripe. Smith Center.
Knecht and fifth-ranked Tennessee (11-4, 1-1 SEC) continue play Saturday at noon, when they take on Georgia at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., live on ESPN2.
