
Tennessee Set for 10 Nationally Televised Games in 2018

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Southeastern Conference released its national television broadcast schedule for the 2018 baseball season on Monday afternoon. Tennessee will have 10 of its games featured on national broadcasts this season.
Of those 10 games, nine will be featured on the SEC Network and one will be shown on ESPNU. Five will be home contests played at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The Vols' first nationally televised game will be at Ole Miss as part of the SEC Network's "Bases Loaded" coverage during the opening day of SEC play on Friday, March 16. Bases Loaded coverage will cut to action from all seven games being played on Friday night.
Two games of UT's SEC home-opening series versus Alabama will be carried on the SEC Network with Saturday's contest on March 24 slated for a 5 p.m. start and Sunday's series finale set for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
All three of Tennessee's games at South Carolina will be shown on national TV. Thursday's series opener can be seen on ESPNU at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday's contests will air on the SEC Network at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
The Big Orange and the defending national champion Florida Gators will square off on the SEC Network in their series finale at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Sunday, April 8 at noon. Three days later, the Vols will host in-state foe UT Martin for a midweek game on the SEC Network at 4 p.m.
UT's trip to Baton Rouge to face last year's national runner-up LSU will be capped off with a 5 p.m. broadcast on the SEC Network on Sunday, April 15 at Alex Box Stadium.
Tennessee's final TV game will also be the final home game of the regular season, a noon showdown with in-state rival Vanderbilt on the SEC Network.
