This week, we're taking a look at the newest faces on our 2016 volleyball squad: the freshmen. Next up is Asha Phillips, a defensive specialist from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB FACTS

Attended Siegel High School and played for the Alliance Volleyball Club, where she was coached by John Blair and former UT All-American Ellen Mullins
Named a 2015 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American for Siegel
In final two seasons at Siegel, she recorded 1,014 digs and 81 aces; she also averaged 3.1 kills per set as a senior while playing outside hitter
Earned all-region honors in 2015 and all-district honors in 2014 and 2015
