Treiber Named SEC Freshman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Tennessee middle hitter Erica Treiber was named the SEC Freshman of the Week for her performance over the weekend at the DISH Tennessee Volleyball Classic.
Treiber was named to the all-tournament team after posting a .409 hitting percentage with 35 kills, 15 total blocks and eight digs as the Volunteers won all four matches in the tournament to improve to 8-0 this season.
She had a career-best performance in the second match of the tournament against UNCG, recording 11 kills and hitting .786. She also had three blocks.
The Unionville, Mich., native leads the team this season in hitting percentage (.398) and blocks (1.00/set).
The Vols are back in action tonight as they host Evansville (3-4) at 7 p.m at Thompson-Boling Arena.
