???I am extremely happy with Lauren???s performance,??? head diving coach Dave Parrington said. ???She dove solidly today. She hit some key dives and did what she needed to do to take care of business. Now we can focus on getting her ready for the NCAA Championships. It???s all about preparation while we are here and getting everyone qualified.???
Senior Vicky Linnell also competed in the finals, finishing 13th overall. She improved upon her 15th-place score of 243.90 in the prelims with a 250.95 total in the finals. She ended with a 494.85 tally. Junior Staley McCartney came in 28th out of 46 divers. She totaled 218.35 points in six dives.
???Vicky did a good job today placing 15th in the prelims then moved up to 13th,??? Parrington said. ???She still has some work to do, but I feel very comfortable with the way she dove today. Staley wasn???t too far out from making the finals, so I???m very pleased with the result from her.???
